The Mascot Hall of Fame in Whiting, IN is an interactive children’s museum dedicated to honoring mascot performers, performances, and programs that have positively affected their communities through mascot-themed, interactive exhibits embedded with S.T.E.A.M.-based education for the K-8 student population, families and sports fans alike. It was founded as an online hall of fame in 2005, and the museum opened at the end of 2018.
In June 2019, I was brought on to cover social media during a maternity leave for the MHOF. During this time, I was able to not only help cover the inaugural Induction Weekend Ceremony, but also create and curate content for the event and museum. The social media goals for the Mascot Hall of Fame are to build awareness, grow their community, showcase the museum and events, drive membership sales and event bookings and above all, promote FUN FUR ALL.
Posts I pushed out to promote the Mascot Hall of Fame’s Induction Weekend received almost 70K organic impressions on Facebook and 30K organic impressions on Instagram, reaching over 54K and 23K users on Facebook and Instagram, respectively.
