I was approached at the beginning of 2019 to discuss the managing the social media platforms for Chicago Health Magazine, an award-winning health journalism publication under Northwest Publishing in Chicago. I took over Chicago Health’s Facebook and Twitter pages in February, and in March, we re-launched their Instagram page. In late May, we plan to re-launch their Pinterest platform. Since my start in February, we have effectively used social media content calendars to successfully grow the Facebook following and increase impressions by 1.6K. This increased growth has been able to maintain website traffic, and is projected to do the same through the summer ‘downtime’ between new issue publication.
